Derek Armes was born in Norwich on December 28, 1936. He is much loved and will always be remembered by all his friends and family. He studied at Norwich City College and worked his entire career at Laurence Scott and Electromotors as an Electrical Engineer. After retiring he enjoyed spending time fly-fishing and was for several years chairman of the Norfolk and Suffolk Fly-Fishing Society. He was also active as a Trustee of the Alderman Norman Foundation. He died suddenly at home in Sprowston, Norwich on Friday 20 November 2015 aged 78 years.
